Here are email addresses for the Boise School Board. As part of the Murgoitio Park land grab, the city also plans to annex the school (Frank Church High School and West Junior High) property adjacent and north of the park.
As I understand it, this is necessary before the city can annex Murgoitio Park and convert it to high density housing. The city cannot annex an “island”. The school annexation creates a small bridge from the city to Murgoitio Park. The school board meets on Monday, July 12. Please send emails to the school board, let them know that you oppose the annexation because it is part of the plan to replace Murgoitio Park with new residential development.

It is worth noting that if the city wanted to annex the school, they could have done that long ago. The Boise School District extends beyond the city boundaries. There is no requirement that the schools be within city boundaries. Schools do not pay property taxes to the city. The only reason for this annexation is to enable the city to steal Murgoitio Park.
